Publication Scheme (Updated 2026)

Leven Parish Council has adopted the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Model Publication Scheme and is committed to making information available proactively wherever possible.

Before submitting a request for information, members of the public are encouraged to check the Parish Council website (Levenpc.co.uk) to see whether the information is already available. Parish Council decisions, spending and planning responses can be found in the Council’s minutes.

Information will be made available unless:

  • it is not held by the Council;
  • it is exempt under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or Environmental Information Regulations 2004;
  • its release is prohibited by law;
  • it is already publicly available elsewhere;
  • it is archived, out of date or inaccessible;
  • it would be impractical, unduly costly or resource‑intensive to prepare for routine release.

Schedule of Charges

The Council aims to provide information electronically wherever possible. No charge will be made for documents sent via email except in rare cases where the information is not readily available, in which case the Clerk’s time will be charged at £10.00 per hour (pro‑rata).
